In this section, you will find some of the most creative stories written by our students from 4th to 7th form in 2015. They are the result of a gradual process which begins in the Literature class by reading and analysing a great variety of tales.
The girls learn to identify the main elements that are combined to make up a story, taking into account the distinctive characteristics of its genre. It is only then that students start to write several drafts, putting into practice everything they have learnt in their Use of English and Writing lessons, culminating with these “masterpieces” that the girls produce and are proud to share with the whole school community.
Each year, 4th form delights us with adventure, love and even horror stories that will give you goosebumps.5th Form enchants us with their fractured fairy tales (traditional fairy tales that are given a humorous twist). Last but not least, 6th and 7th amuse us with their own versions of well-known Greek myths and adventure stories set in the Middle Ages. These stories reflect the thorough knowledge of history they have gained in Social Studies.
To conclude, what characterizes our highly acclaimed“Story Project” is the fact that it fuels students’ imagination from the very first minute they plan inventive plots to the moment they design mesmerizing covers. We hope you enjoy reading these wonderful stories as much as our students did when creating them. We would love to publish all of them in this magazine but, for obvious reasons, we will just give you a taste ofwhat all our girls are capable of writing when giving free reign to their imagination and having fun with Literature.
